There's also a L.A. Times report that Fox may be reading a big screen adaptation of Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles. A single film seems to be the wrong format to me. Flawed as it was, the NBC miniseries in 1980 was a better way to approach the project. Jamming all those stories into two or three hours would leave a lot of Bradbury's work out. Plus, Martian Chronicles is a much more intimate work. I don't think it absolutely needs the epic scale and scope of a big-screen 3D adaptation.

Come on, guys. Throw Moon a bone here. Avatar's impressive visually, but honest to Hulk, does it deserve every award? Best actor? Worthington's not bad, but most of the performance is filtered through the CGI of his Na'vi avatar. Sam Rockwell literally carries Moon by himself.(The above would have gone up Friday but QuickBlogcast ate it.)
